KAISI YEH YAARIAN

Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan is and Indian Television Series that started on 21st July 2014 specially for the young generation on MTV India.

By the name itself it suggests the main stress is on Dosti, Yaariyaa, Pyaar….

The main Protagonist is the music band FAB 5 in the Musical Academy SPACE.

Every character in this serial has its own space and the show dwells on his or her life.

The serial covers into the lives of the protagonists and the effect of friendship in them. Youth issues have been taken into consideration and limelight stressing the views of today. The serial has been an eye opener in some context for voicing out the truth. It is still embarking its maiden journey after crossing more than 200 episodes.

Main Cast

Monster Majnu Monkey Manik Malhotra (M5):

Manik Malhotra the lead star in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan as rich spoilt brat has made an impression in the minds of fans. He is the lead singer of famous band FAB 5 along with four others Dhruv, Mukti, Cabir and Aliya. They together rock everywhere and anywhere. Manik is very aggressive and his anger is beyond control. He tortures those who irritate him like Nandini and Navya. But deep somewhere he is softhearted person who cares for his friends and even has a human heart. He falls in love with sweet doll Nandini Murthy which brings new spice to the serial.

Baby Doll Nandini Murthy:

Nandini Murthy south Indian princess coming from Mangalore and she joined SPACE Academy for music. She is near about perfect as she always cites the truth and fair side of life. She was bullied by Fab 5 when she opposed issues of ragging over there. Her different behavior attracted Manik and with later falling in love with her.

Cupid Cabir:

The real cupid of the show always helping the love birds though his love life is hell. Cabir is a gay and had love relations with his teacher Raghav Sir. Initially he had grey shad due to the reason he tortured Nandini. But later the character was shaped to help our love birds. Its from him the word MaNancame into existence. He always supported Manik and Nandini’s love. Thought his mother did not except his gay status yet he has found his foot in the society by getting a job as a RJ. His relation with Navya is yet to be discovered.

Drama Queen Navya:

Nicknamed Black and White Madhubala by Cabir is talkative and zestful. She came from small town of Bihar to accomplish her dreams of becoming vocalist in SPACE Academy. At the beginning she was bullied by Fab 5 when Nandini acted as a savior to her several times. She was a member of NH3 with Harshad. Eventually she fell in love with Harshad who misused, made her pregnant and left her alone to face the hard world. At this phase she found friends like Mukti and Cabir who supported and gave shelter. The equation of Navya and Cabir is yet to be revealed.

Rocking Mukti:

Mukti has been a victim of broken family and as a result she tried to find love in Harshad, where she was deceived. It led to a mental break down for her. Then she went Rehab where she met Abhimanyu and fell in love with him. As a true friend and a band member she was supported Fab 5 and her friends.

Buddy Dhruv:

Indeed he is buddy of Manik. He saved Manik from a life threatening attempt from Harshad which led to some mental attacks to him. He was attracted towards Nandini which led to a breakup in Manan. But later when Nandini refused him he fell in love with Aliya. He suffered from state of inferiority complex towards Manik which nearly broke the everlasting friendship. He not only behaved badly with Aliya and Nandini even got wild with Cabir and Manik. But with friends like Cabir, Mukti and Aliya there cannot be anything wrong on the way.

Diva Aliya:

A modern girl who speaks from heart. At the beginning she was girl friend of manik but later they drifted and parted ways. Now her name is associated with Dhruv which is going with a rough phase. Her character was slightly grayish now it has turned to be more positive supporting love and lovers.

Supporting Cast

AMS:

She is Classical maestro who has trained not only her granddaughter Nandini but also Pandit Trilok Chaurasia. She is settled in Mangalore and dreams big for Nandini’s future. Pandit called her in the context of Fusion Context to act as a barrier to Manan’s love. We have seen Ams rejection of Manik as a good friend due to misinterpretation on Pandit. She is not aware of the evil intention of Pandit on Nandini.

Chacha:

Sharukh Khan Of Chachi’s life. He loves his wife and even the kids. He is also a supporter for Manan. Though he is money minded yet he is good at heart. He likes Manik as he predicted to Pandit that one day Manik will become a successful singer on his own.

Chachi:

Chachi is the most loveable character in the show mainly known for 2 two of her discoveries – Sharukh Khan and Bhindiwala Pasta. She is a true supporter of Manik as she really believes him. She went on praissing Manik in front of Pandit and even voiced out to Nandini that how come someone hate this sweet and cute boy. She made realize Nandini to express her real feelings to Manik. She is very fond of Nanidni and Rishabh as she does not have her own child. She dreams to have her own Beauty Product saloon one day.

Rishabh:

Nandini;s brother and Dhruv are somewhat somewhere linked with their mental problem which is yet to be revealed. When Rishabh had an attack in the college Manik took care of him leaving out his own competition. Rishabh loves Manik, he likes spending time with him. The relation showed between is a very sweet one like playing with peas and having ice cream. Even the scene where Rishabh shared his Roti with Manik was spectacular.

NAVYA’s MOM:

She has come from Bihar to meet her daughter when Cabir called up. Cabir has nicknamed Madhubala part 2. Her only intention is to get her daughter married as she is expecting a child without wedlock.

CABIR’s MOM:

This character has different shades like a soft and friendly mother yet sometimes having gray shades. She became an aggressive mother who was not ready to accept her son’s gay status. She is a single mother who has brought her son with care alone int his whole world. Cabir’s mom suffers from marital fights when her ex-husband beats her up and makes her responsible for everything and anything. She can take extreme steps to have her son by her side.

Sunny Sharma:

He plays a role of struggling actor who became friendly with Cabeer and Navya in the pretext of helping Navya. He was brought in front of Navya’s mom to act as Navya’s unborn child’s father. His character was short lived as the situation became out of control when Cabir came forward to marry Navya.

Principal:

Princal runs the college whose owner is Manik’ father and one of the trustee is Nyonika. He is just a Puppet in the hands of Nyonika. Though sometimes he voices against evils yet he has to find his foot on the ground in every context. He is seen as a humorous character sometimes the way he utters his dialogues.

Raghav Sir:

The love of Cabir’s Life. He was afraid of accepting being a gay and also of the relationship towards his own student Cabir. He was a very strict teacher in SPACE. His action sometimes gave sweet Manan moments to us. When Cabir and his relationship was put into front in Musicana night they accepted the relationship. But later due to a fight between them and Harshad where Cabir was badly hurt ,he took U-turn and went into hibernation.

Rose:

A friend of Fab 5 Gang who Cabir brought to act as his girl friend as he didn’t want his status of being a gay should come out.

Shahid:

A member of NH3 w ho used to play the drums in the group. He was the person who was so abused by Fab 5 that he tried to commit suicide. It’s in that scene Nandini and Navya were introduced to the SPACE Academy when they tried to save Shahid from coming such sin.

Mr. Khurana:

A hard core businessman whose sole aim was to make his daughter happy. He did not accept the mental condition of Soha. He even blackmailed Nanini to get soha’s happiness. He along with Neonika played dirty games with Manik and Nandini and get them separated..

Riddhima:

She was once a student of Pandit whom Pandit misused. Pandit took advantage of her situation by showing her big dreams. Manik brought her from Kanpur in the pretext of opening the unfold chapter of Pandit’s life in front of Nandini. We have to wait more to see what happens next with the character as she is held captive now by Pandit.

Aryaman:

Aryaman is a new entry in KY2 but it is still not clear to what his role is. He will have slight grey shades and will be a competitor of Manik Malhotra as predicted by the media. Let’s hope he brings more romance in MaNan lives.

Abhimanyu:

Zindgi zinda dili kaa naam hai..this phrase goes best with Abhimanyu sweetly called as Abhi- Love Guru. He is full of life and always speaks from heart. His motto of life was “Spread the sunshine of love everywhere”. He was a torch bearer in Nandini’s love life. He was suffering from terminating disease like Cancer yet he showed new phase in Mukti’s life. He gave a vision to what love can do and bring into a person’s life. He was a charmer by words who played his part very well. His role has ended when he left hospital for ever in lieu of a better future to Mukti. It was shown that the character has met his untimely death.
