MTV all set to launch a new show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan

MTV's new show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan will project the story of friends and will have known faces in the show.

Youth based channel MTV India is all set to launch a new show titled as Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan which was earlier known to be Friendship Baazi The show will be produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. 

The show will project the story about friendship as can be made out from the title itself. The story revolves around the youngsters who study in the college and will highlight the friendship of these youngsters.

Many known faces will be seen playing important characters in the show. Following are the names of the actor who have been finalized for the show.

Actress Veebha Anand who is currently seen as Subadra in Star Plus' Mahabharat and Neeti Taylor who was last seen in Sony TV's Bade Acche Lagte Hai will be seen essaying the central female characters.

Talking about the group of five friends, actors who have been roped in to play the character of friends are Charlie Chauhan and Parth Samthaan who got their fame from Channel V's Best Friends Forever, Ayaz Ahmed who is seen in MTV Splitsvilla Season 7, Krissann Barretto last seen in Bindass Yeh Hai Aashiqui and the new entrant Uttkarsh.

TellyBuzz got in touch with one of the leads Charlie Chauhan and she says, "I am very excited to come back on the same channel from where I started my career. I am associated with MTV from Roadies and it is my pleasure to work with Vikas Gupta and Palki Malhotra. I always wanted to work with them and this show is youth centric and I don't find myself to go into saas-bahu shows so there was no reason for me saying no to these shows."

Talking about the her co- actors she says, "My main motive to be on this show is Veebha (Vibha) Anand , I admire her and she is Vidya Balan of the small screen she is a fabulous actor and very popular actress of TV, then Parth with whom I have worked in V Best Friends Forever? even with Ayaz I have done an episodic of Gumrah so all are quite familiar to me and would be fun to work with such actors."

Get cozy with MTV on weekdays as it launches two brand new shows

Starting 21st July, from Monday to Friday, MTV Fanaah will air at 6 PM and MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan will occupy the 6:30 PM slot.

With a stellar run on ratings which have almost doubled in the last six months and a super successful seventh season of MTV Splitsvilla, MTV, the iconic youth brand is surging ahead with two new shows for the young audiences. Starting 21st July, the viewers of MTV will be treated to a fantasy teen love story, MTV Fanaah and a fun filled show about friendship and college life - MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. The shows will be aired from Monday to Friday, MTVFanaah at 6 PM followed by MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan at 6:30 PM. 

MTV Fanaah is about the complexities of a love story featuring supernatural entities such as vampires and werewolves. In addition to Rithvik Dhanjani and Raatan Raajputh, MTV Fanaahwill also see leading television names Karan Kundra, Anita Hassanandani, Chetna Pande and Nakul Sachdev in prominent roles. A tale of multiple protagonists and entwined story line, MTVFanaah will depict each protagonist in a never seen before avatar.

MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan is a show that focuses on the relationship between a bunch of young people who have come together as they embark on a new chapter in their lives - attending college. The show will take viewers on a fun filled ride as the popular kids - Fab 5 - who also have a rock band, take on two new girls who they think don't fit into their world. The show, along with looking at this clash of opposites will also focus on issues that bug the youth and provide a slice-of-life view of the lives of young people today.

The show will star fresh young talent such as Parth Laghate, Charlie Chauhan, Krissann Barretto, Utkarsh Gupta, and Niti Taylor in key roles. The show will also see popular television actress Veebha Anand in a very interesting new avatar. Also joining the cast would be the cutie from MTV Splitsvilla Season 7 - Ayaz Ahmed. Some other prominent names who will make their come back to television will be actors such as Rushad Rana and Kishwar Merchant who have many a successful TV shows under 

their be Speaking about the youth insights that inspired the channel to make these shows Sumeli Chatterjee, Head - Marketing and Insights, MTV India and the author of the MTV Curious Minds study, said "The shows revolves around the youth emotions of finding love, dealing with dilemmas and fighting for attaining their dreams. While youth are in love in idea of eternal romance, they are not exactly eager to commit in real life. The generation is confident, optimistic, ambitious and stubborn to achieve their dreams. Life is not exactly black and white and dreams are often challenged by destiny. But, today, youngsters love this challenge and welcome this fight with their circumstances to get to their ambitions. Both the shows build on these insights, have interesting protagonists who are easy to relate to and intriguing narration style."

Building on the concepts further, Vikas Gupta, Head - Programming at MTV, "Love and friendship are two very strong bonds and through these two shows we are trying to push the limits to explore the power of what both these bonds can achieve. At MTV we are now exploring and creating content that is cutting edge and that appeals to the innermost feelings and emotions of our audience, the youth. It's important for us to tell stories that evoke excitement, aspirations and yet are relatable. Both - MTV Fanaah and MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan - are aimed at the generation of today."

The shows go on air from 21st July 2014 and will occupy the 6 PM to 7 PM weekday slot from Monday to Friday. Along with a robust on air promotion, the shows will also be supported by a 360 degree marketing plan. MTV Fanaah teasers were launched earlier last month through a unique leak video featuring the lead actor Karan Kundra biting a girl at a bar which went viral and generated a lot of curiosity thus making this one of the most eagerly awaited shows on MTV. For MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, MTV will be launching an extensive campus outreach program.

Shaan and VJ Gaelyn to be seen in a special episode of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan

Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan will soon gear up with a special episodes where singer Shaan and VJ Gaelyn will be seen in the show

MTV India's popular show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan is grabbing many eyeballs and riding high with success. The much loved youth oriented show will welcome a famous singer Shaan on their show.

Thus the show will soon gear up with a special episode which will feature a grand event called as Musicana. It will be a music competition where all the cast of the show will be seen performing in the show to woo the viewers.

As per our source, "Popular singer Shaan will be seen in the event as the judge along with the popular VJ Gaelyn. All the actors in the show will be seen performing to make this event better. It is the first grand event happening in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan."

The show depicts the tale of five friends and their music group Fab5 at S.P.A.C.E academy. Also focuses on the love tale of Nandini (Niti Taylor) and Manik (Parth Samthaan) yet it attracts the eyeballs of the masses.

We got in touch with Veebha (Vibha) Anand to know more about the celebration for which she said, "It's an amazing feeling that we finally made it and became the number one show on MTV India. We were desperately waiting for this moment to come which has finally arrived. We used to wait every week and were left disappointed as they were lagging behind by some numbers. But we have finally accomplished our goal and we celebrated the moment by a cake cutting ceremony on the sets itself and later in the evening we partied together. Charlie and I were not able to attend the party but rest of the cast and crew had a great fun in the party."

Charlie Chauhan who is playing the character of Mukti shared her happiness on the twitter stating, "This is d moment we all have been waiting for .....Kaisi yeh Yaariaan becomes the No.1 Show in all"

Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan completes 100 episodes

Its celebration time for the cast and crew of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan as they have completed their 100 episodes.

Lost Boy production's popular show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan on MTV India is celebrating their moment of completing 100 successful episodes.

It's a double whammy for the cast and crew of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan as the show earlier had acquired a top position on the TRP chart among the other youth based shows and now have achieved the success for completing 100 episodes.

The entire team cut a cake on the sets to commemorate the occasion.

We tried contacting Niti Taylor and Parth Samthaan who is seen as Nandini and Manik in the show but could not reach to them.

Navya (Veebha (Vibha) Anand) will prepare Gujiya for every one as it a special sweet dish made in her native Patna. Guys will mix Bhaang in Thandai and make girls drink the bhaang. But Manik, will drink Bhaang and start behaving weird with Nandini (Niti Taylor)."

When asked Niti about the celebration, she said, "I don't know about the track, but since morning I am shooting in water and we are having lots of fun while playing Holi."

Besides Niti, Veebha (Vibha) Anand replied, "There is a very positive and fun filling environment on the set of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. After a long time, the entire cast is playing Holi together. Today, I am feeling that indeed our 'Yaariyan' is back."

It's time to celebrate and rejoice for the entire team of MTV's Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan as this very popular show has completed 200 episodes.  

The actors of the show have garnered quite a fan following as Maneik (Parth Samthaan) and Nandini (Niti Taylor) have become one of the most well known couples of tinsel town.

Veebha (Vibha) Anand who essays the role of Navya says," We are really happy and excited because the charm of the show is still the same as it was at the beginning. In fact the energy and the enthusiasm is increasing day by day. We wanted to celebrate our success but I don't think we will be able to celebrate due to our hectic shooting schedules. We are shooting for extra hours to create a bank because of the strike which is said to happen from May 6."

We also got in touch with Niti Taylor who says, "For me its a great feeling of joy especially when you see the faces in your team whom you have worked with and share the feeling that we did this together.  I have watched way too many shows on television that started out wonderfully and then seemed to continue on a downward spiral once they reached their peak. I am thrilled to be a part of this show and 200 episodes is a proud moment for me. In one word if I sum up what I feel would simply say, WOW!"
